The Resident Community Advisory Board (RCAB) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds that directly supports our nursing home residents through social and recreational outings, in-house entertainment, specialty events and more.
At Unique Residential Care Center (URCC), we work diligently to ensure that our residents are always comfortable in their home. The mission of the Unique Residential Care Center’s Resident Community Advisory Board (RCAB) is to improve the quality of life for the residents of Unique Residential Care Center (URCC). In 2005, our Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Solanges Vivens, implemented a non-profit branch of URCC that would serve residents in hopes to make their lives even brighter. The Resident Community Advisory Board (RCAB) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds towards activities for our nursing home residents . RCAB is composed of board members with varied backgrounds and a couple of residents as well, and together our goal is to make sure the residents are able to have fun and remain engaged. Our activities include taking trips around D.C., hosting holiday and specialty events, bringing outside entertainment to the facility and more. Throughout the year, we host multiple fundraisers and are always accepting donations (money, clothes, gifts, volunteers services, etc).
RCAB is also very active on social media platforms like: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Family, friends and supporters are more than welcomed to follow us under our parent company’s name — VMTLTC. If you’re interested in learning more about RCAB, becoming a board member or would like to make an online donation, please visit the RCAB website at www.urccrcab.org.
