Practical Nurses are individuals who work under the direction of a physician or registered nurse.  Practical Nurses are responsible for the care of the acutely sick, injured, convalescent and disabled. 

You will provide bedside care, such as taking vital signs, giving and recording medications, treatments, and reinforcing health teaching.  After successful completion of the NCLEX-PN exam, employment options include acute and long term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, as well as clinics and physicians' offices. 

VMT trains its Practical Nurses to become Licensed as a Practical Nurse carrying the initials LPN.
